Allied Titanium clevis pins are currently in use in applications running from top fuel dragsters to offshore sailing yachts. These clevis pins are fabricated from grade 5 (Ti-6Al-V4) titanium and are corrsion free, even in saltwater. Grade 5 titanium hasld strength of 39,900 psi (275 Mpa), a bit higher than stainless steel. One of the big benefits for Grade 2 titanium in industry is that it is chemically corrosion resistant, even in all kinds of acids and caustic solutions.
